How to create and delete sections and pages?

This article shows you how to create and delete sections and pages in the form template Builder via the desktop application.

Before you begin

What are sections?

Sections are sets of questions that have been grouped together. They're a wonderful method to structure questions within your templates so that you and your team can move through forms faster and report stakeholders have a better reading experience.

What are pages?

Groups are a group of questions bunched together. They are a great way to organize questions within your templates to help you and your team progress through forms easier and improve the reading experience for report stakeholders.

You'll need

• Your account and template access

Take note

• Changes made to templates only apply to new forms moving forward.
• Deleting a section also deletes any questions nested within.
• You can also convert the sections you create into repeat sections, allowing you and your team to repeat the same set of questions as many times as needed in a single form.

Create a section

Web app

1. Log in to Lumiform's web app.
2. Select Templates from the menu on the left-hand side.
3. Click the template and select Edit template in the side panel.
4. Select the question where you want to insert the section.
5. Click Section on the left-hand side.
6. This creates a new section below with a question nested within.
7. Start typing to name the section.
8. Add new questions or drag and drop existing ones into the section.

Delete a section

Web app

1. Log in to Lumiform's web app.
2. Select Templates from the menu on the left-hand side.
3. Click the template and select Edit template in the side panel.
4. Select the section you want to delete.
5. Click delete on the right-hand side to delete the section.
